Instructions

 

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Butter a 9×13-inch metal baking pan and line with parchment paper, letting the paper extend up the sides.

Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients

  • Whisk together cocoa, espresso, and boiling water until smooth.

  • Add chopped unsweetened chocolate and whisk until melted.

  • Whisk in melted butter and vegetable oil.

  • Add eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.

  • Stir in the sugar until fully incorporated.

Step 3: Add the Dry Ingredients

  • Fold in the flour and salt using a rubber spatula until just combined.

Step 4: Assemble the Brownies

  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

  • Sprinkle 3/4 of the chopped Snickers over the batter.

  • Spread the remaining batter over the top and finish with the remaining Snickers.

Step 5: Bake

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Step 6: Cool and Serve

  • Let cool in the pan on a wire rack for 1 ½ hours.

  • Lift the brownies out using the parchment paper and allow them to cool completely (about 1 hour).

  • Cut into 2-inch squares and enjoy!
