Prepare the Steak:
In a shallow dish, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In another dish, whisk eggs and milk.
Dredge each steak in the flour mixture, dip in the egg mixture, then coat again with the flour. Press firmly to adhere.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry steaks for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Make the Gravy:
Pour off all but ¼ cup of oil from the skillet.
Whisk in ¼ cup of flour and cook for 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in the 2 cups of milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Ingredient Quantity
Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed 2 lbs
Butter ½ cup
Warm milk or heavy cream ½ cup
Garlic powder ½ tsp
Salt & pepper To taste
Instructions:
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender (15–20 minutes). Drain.
Mash with butter, warm milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Garlic Green Beans
Ingredient Quantity
Fresh green beans, trimmed 1 lb
Butter 2 tbsp
Garlic cloves, minced 2
Salt & pepper To taste
Instructions:
Blanch green beans in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then drain.
Sauté minced garlic in butter for 1 minute, add green beans, and toss. Season with salt and pepper.
To Serve:
Place a crispy steak on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes, generously smother with gravy, and serve with garlic green beans on the side.
