Instructions

 

 

1. Cook the Pasta
Prepare the pasta noodles al dente according to the package directions.

2. Drain and Cool
Strain the cooked pasta in a colander and let it cool completely.

3. Make the Dressing
In a bowl, mix the ranch dressing packet with the mayonnaise and buttermilk as directed on the package.
If needed, thin the dressing with an additional tablespoon or two of buttermilk or milk.

4. Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, add the cooled pasta, cubed cheese, peeled cucumber (chopped), tomato halves, and optional ham.

5. Add Dressing
Pour the dressing over the pasta and mix everything together until evenly coated.

6. Chill
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors meld.

7. Serve
If the pasta has soaked up too much dressing, stir in a splash of milk or a squirt of bottled ranch to loosen it up before serving.

Tips

Make Ahead: This salad tastes even better after chilling for a few hours.

Custom Veggies: Swap the tomato for red bell pepper, zucchini, radish, or green onion.

Serving: Delicious as a side dish or a light meal.
