Sausage and Cheese Crescent Ring

Instructions

 

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it into small, even crumbles (about 8–10 minutes). Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and let cool completely.

Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled sausage with the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses. If using, add garlic powder and Italian seasoning.

Arrange the Crescent Dough
Place an inverted bowl (5–6 inches in diameter) in the center of your baking sheet as a guide. Separate the crescent dough into triangles. Arrange them in a circle around the bowl with the wide ends overlapping near the bowl and the points extending outward.

Remove the Bowl
Carefully lift the bowl from the center of the dough.

Add the Filling
Spoon the sausage and cheese mixture evenly around the ring on the wide ends of the triangles.

Shape the Ring
One by one, bring each dough triangle’s point over the filling and tuck it underneath the inner edge to secure.
