Ingredients:

 

– 6 cups apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

 

– 1 tablespoon lemon juice

 

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

 

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

 

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

 

– 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

 

– 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

 

– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

 

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces

 

– Pinch of salt

 

Directions:

 

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

 

2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

 

3. In another bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

 

4. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.

 

5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbly and tender.
