Shredded mozzarella cheese 1 cup

Heavy cream 1 cup

Milk ½ cup

Bacon, cooked and crumbled 6 slices

Garlic, minced 2 cloves

Salt and pepper To taste

Butter 2 tablespoons

Chopped fresh parsley or chives 1 tablespoon

How To Make Oven-Baked Potato and Cheese Gratin with Bacon:

Step 1: Prep & Preheat: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.

Step 2: Prepare Cream Mixture: In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, and minced garlic. Heat over medium heat until warm, but do not boil.

Step 3: Layer the Gratin: Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle half of the crumbled bacon and half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the potatoes. Pour half of the warm cream mixture over this first layer. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, bacon, and cheese, finishing with the remaining cream mixture.

Step 4: Bake: Dot the top with the remaining butter. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley or chives before serving.
