6 slices of bread
6 slices of cheese
6 slices bacon
4 eggs
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped
Green onion, chopped
100 grams hunter’s sausages, sliced
100 grams of grated cheese
How to prepare
Prepare the oven and ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Place a greased or lined baking sheet with baking paper.
Cook the bacon:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until golden brown and crispy. Remove them and place them on paper towels to drain off excess fat.
Prepare the sausages and cheese:
Cut the hunter’s sausages into thin slices. If you don’t have previously grated cheese, grate the cheese you’ll be using.
Assemble the base with the bread:
Place the bread slices on the baking sheet, covering the base. Add a slice of cheese on top of each piece of bread.
Add the bacon and sausage:
Place the crispy bacon slices on top of the cheese. Then distribute the sausage slices evenly throughout the pan.
Make the egg mixture:
In a bowl, beat the 4 eggs with a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste. Add the chopped fresh parsley and chopped green onion to the mixture.
Pour and cover:
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread, making sure to cover every corner. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the entire surface.
Bake:
Take the tray to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese has completely melted.
Serve hot:
Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes and cut into portions. Serve hot and enjoy this delicious breakfast.
Additional Tips
Choose the right bread: You can use sliced bread, baguette, or rustic bread to give it a different touch of texture. If you prefer, lightly toast the bread before assembling the recipe.
Vary the cheeses: Combine cheeses such as mozzarella, cheddar, or gouda for a creamy and flavorful mix.
Add more vegetables: If you want a fuller version, add chopped mushrooms, peppers, or tomatoes to the egg mixture.
Control salt: Since bacon and sausage already contain salt, add just a pinch to the egg mixture to prevent over-salting.
Perfect reheating: If there is any leftover, store the portions in an airtight container in the fridge. You can reheat in the oven or microwave the next day.
