Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Donuts
-
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
-
Open the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Using a small round cutter or the cap of a bottle, cut out a hole in the center of each biscuit to form the donut shape. (You can also use the donut holes if you want mini donuts!)
-
If you want to keep things simple, you can also shape the dough into ring shapes by hand.
Step 2: Air Fry the Donuts
-
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray or brush it with a little oil.
-
Place the donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure there’s some space between them.
-
Air fry the donuts at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and fluffy. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Step 3: Coat the Donuts
-
While the donuts are cooling slightly, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl (if using the cinnamon sugar coating).
-
Brush the warm donuts with melted butter and then dip or roll them in the sugar mixture until fully coated.
Optional: For extra indulgence, drizzle with your favorite glaze or frosting once the donuts have cooled down a bit.
💡 Tips & Variations:
-
Glazes & Toppings: You can glaze the donuts with a simple vanilla glaze (powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract) or a chocolate glaze (melted chocolate and a little cream). Top with sprinkles, chopped nuts, or even a dusting of powdered sugar.
-
Flavor Variations: For a twist, you can add a little vanilla or almond extract to the dough or sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top for a cinnamon-sugar donut.
-
Filled Donuts: If you want filled donuts, you can pipe jelly, chocolate, or cream into the center after air frying them.
These air fryer donuts are soft, airy, and perfectly golden, with all the indulgence of a traditional donut—minus the deep-frying mess! Perfect for a quick breakfast or a sweet treat anytime. 🍩
