Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls

INGREDIENTS
2 tubes (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
12 slices quality deli ham
12 slices sharp cheddar cheese (or your preferred melting cheese)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons local honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a light-colored skillet over medium heat, cook butter until golden brown and nutty, about 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat immediately.
Whisk honey, Dijon mustard, thyme leaves, and garlic powder into the browned butter until well combined.
Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
Place a slice of ham on the wide end of each triangle, folding if needed to fit.
Add a slice of cheese on top of the ham, breaking into pieces if needed to cover evenly.
Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle up tightly toward the point.
Place rolls on prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
Brush each roll generously with the brown butter glaze, making sure to use all of it.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until deeply golden brown.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Use quality deli ham and cheese – it makes a big difference in the final flavor
The glaze may seem like a lot but use it all for best results
Some cheese may escape during baking – this creates delicious crispy edges
Best served warm but can be reheated briefly in the oven or air fryer
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days
Can be frozen for up to 2 months – reheat in a 350°F oven until warm
