In a large mixing bowl, pour the heavy cream and beat it with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until it starts to thicken.
Once it begins to thicken, add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue beating until soft peaks form (about 3-4 minutes).
Arrange the ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of your serving dish or cake pan. If you prefer, you can cut the ladyfingers to fit the dish more neatly.
Lightly dip each ladyfinger into coffee, milk, or fruit juice (optional), but do not soak them. This will add flavor and moisture to the cake.
Spread a generous layer of the freshly made whipped cream over the ladyfingers.
Repeat the layering process, alternating between ladyfingers and whipped cream, until you run out of ingredients. Be sure to finish with a layer of whipped cream on top.
Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to set.
Before serving, top the cake with fresh berries, fruit, or a dusting of cocoa powder or chocolate shavings.
Slice and serve chilled.
Coffee or Liqueur Soak: For an adult version of this dessert, you can dip the ladyfingers in coffee or a flavored liqueur (like amaretto or Kahlúa) instead of milk or juice.
Add Layers: You can also add layers of fruit or jam in between the whipped cream layers for extra flavor and texture.
Make It a Tiramisu: If you’d like to give it a classic tiramisu twist, you can add mascarpone cheese to the whipped cream mixture and layer with cocoa powder.
This Ladyfinger Cake is a simple yet elegant dessert that’s perfect for any gathering. It’s light, flavorful, and a crowd-pleaser every time! Enjoy!
