Directions:
1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
2. In your slow cooker, combine the cooked meat, pasta sauce, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir well to combine.
3. Break the spaghetti in half and add it to the slow cooker. Stir to ensure the spaghetti is well coated with the sauce.
4. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the spaghetti is tender.
5. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the remaining cup of cheddar cheese on top, cover, and let it melt.
6. Serve hot, garnished with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if desired.
Variations & Tips:
For a vegetarian version, simply omit the meat and add in some sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor. If you have picky eaters, you can use a milder cheese like mozzarella or even a mix of cheeses for a different taste. For a bit of spice, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or some chopped jalapeños. This dish is also great with whole wheat or gluten-free pasta if you prefer.
