The process is very simple. Place all the ingredients into a saucepan and put it over low heat.
Cook on low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent the mixture from burning.
The finished mixture should be thick with a rich caramel color.
Shaping the Toffees – Two Options:
Ice cube tray method: Grease the compartments with a little oil and pour in the hot mixture.
Parchment method: Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour the mixture in long strips, which you can later cut into small pillow-shaped pieces.
Once shaped, place the toffees in the freezer for exactly 30 minutes to set.
