The process is very simple. PlaceĀ all the ingredientsĀ into a saucepan andĀ put it over low heat.
Cook onĀ low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent the mixture from burning.
The finished mixture should beĀ thick with a rich caramel color.
Ā Shaping the Toffees ā Two Options:
Ice cube tray method: Grease the compartments with a little oil and pour in the hot mixture.
Parchment method: Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour the mixture inĀ long strips, which you can later cut intoĀ small pillow-shaped pieces.
Once shaped,Ā place the toffees in the freezer for exactly 30 minutesĀ to set.
