Aluminum and copper items should not be washed in the dishwasher. The dispersion of water and soap can damage these materials.
Hanging copper pots
The same goes for enameled iron pots and pans. If you put them in the dishwasher, they may rust or peel off the enamel.
Teflon and coatings
Many of our non-stick pans work because of the material they are made of.
Unless otherwise indicated on the label, pots and pans with a non-stick coating should not be placed in the dishwasher.
The soaps we use for this appliance are so aggressive that they could damage them and cause the parts to detach with use.
Non-stick pan with oil
The best way to clean this type of utensil is to wipe them with a soft cloth and a little soap. They are easy to clean and you do not need to scrub too much.
Sometimes, if they do not have a lot of oil, it is enough to wipe them with absorbent paper, specifies the expert. Above all, avoid cleaning these pots and pans with a scouring sponge, to prevent them from deteriorating more quickly.
