Instructions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
While the noodles are cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown on the outside. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (75°C).
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
In the same skillet, add the cooked egg noodles and toss them in the remaining butter and chicken juices until they are well coated.
Serve the buttered noodles on plates and top them with the sliced chicken.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
