2 cups of regular flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
half a teaspoon of salt
Two tablespoons of cinnamon, ground
1/4 cup full-fat milk
two big eggs.
Vanilla essence, 2 tablespoons
Two cups of chopped apples, preferably Honeycrisp or Granny Smith varieties
Melted butter, 2 tablespoons
One cup of powdered sugar, two or three tablespoons of milk, and half a teaspoon of vanilla essence make the glaze.
How to Follow
Turn the oven on high heat (375°F, 190°C). Use parchment paper to line a baking pan.
2. In a large basin, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and whisk until well combined.
3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla essence in one separate dish. Combine the wet and dry materials by pouring the former into the latter.
4. Using a gentle touch, incorporate the melted butter and chopped apples into the batter until they are well mixed.
5. Make little mounds out of the batter and drop them by spoonfuls onto the baking sheet that has been prepared.
To get the fritters golden brown and ensure a clean toothpick comes out from the middle, bake them in a preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes.
7. Meanwhile, whip the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a separate dish until smooth. This will make the glaze.
7. After the fritters have finished baking, let them cool for about 5 minutes. Then, drizzle the glaze over them. Warm it up and savor the comforting sweetness.
Tips and Variations
Try using various kinds of apples or pears for a fresh spin. For a satisfying crunch, try topping with chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans. Swapping out the glaze with caramel sauce makes for a more opulent dessert. Plus, you may spice up the batter with a bit of allspice or nutmeg for a bolder taste.
