Instructions:

  1. Make the dough:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

    • Add warm milk and melted butter (and olive oil if using).

    • Mix and knead (by hand or with a dough hook) for 5โ€“6 minutes until smooth and slightly tacky.

  2. Let rise (quick method):

    • Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 30โ€“40 minutes, or until doubled in size.

  3. Shape the rolls:

    • Divide the dough into 8โ€“10 equal pieces and shape into balls.

    • Place them on parchment paper or in a lightly greased air fryer-safe pan.

  4. Second rise (brief):

    • Let the rolls rise for another 10โ€“15 minutes while you preheat your air fryer to 320ยฐF (160ยฐC).

  5. Air fry:

    • Cook the rolls in the air fryer for 8โ€“10 minutes, or until golden brown on top and cooked through.

    • Rotate or flip halfway through if needed, depending on your air fryer model.

  6. Finish & serve:

    • Brush hot rolls with melted butter for extra softness and flavor.

    • Serve warm with dinner or use for sliders, mini sandwiches, or breakfast rolls.
