Shape the Twists:

Punch down the dough and divide into 8–10 pieces.

Roll each piece into a rope (about 8 inches), then twist it tightly and press ends to seal.

Let twisted donuts rest for 15–20 minutes on a floured surface.

Fry:

Heat oil in a deep pan to 340–350°F (170–180°C).

Fry donuts in batches, turning until golden brown on all sides (about 2–3 minutes each side).
