Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle (if not already shaped).

  3. Spread the chocolate evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.

  4. Roll it up from the long side into a tight log (like a jelly roll). You can also fold it like a book for a different look.

  5. Cut the roll in half lengthwise (you’ll have two long pieces). Twist the two pieces together, chocolate-side up, like a braid or rope.

  6. Place on baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden and puffed.

  7. Cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Optional Upgrades:

  • Dust with powdered sugar.
