Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Set oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prep Pastry:
Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a floured surface.
Use a round cutter or glass to cut circles (about 3–4 inches in diameter).
Press the circles into a greased muffin tin to form mini baskets.
Blind Bake:
Prick the bottoms with a fork. Optional: Add baking beads or dry beans to keep the shape.
Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool & Fill:
Let baskets cool slightly before removing from the tin.
Fill with your favorite savory ingredients just before serving.
