Ingredients:

4 slices of crustless white sandwich bread (Tramezzini bread or regular white bread with crusts removed)

100g (3.5 oz) cream cheese or spreadable cheese

80g (2.8 oz) cooked ham, turkey, or smoked salmon

Lettuce leaves or baby spinach

Optional: roasted bell peppers, sliced cucumbers, or sun-dried tomatoes

Salt and pepper to taste

Flatten the bread:

Use a rolling pin to gently flatten each slice of bread until thin and pliable.

Spread the cheese:

Evenly spread a thin layer of cream cheese over the surface of each slice.

Add the filling:

Place slices of ham, turkey, or salmon on top.

Add lettuce or other optional veggies for crunch and freshness.

Lightly season with salt and pepper, if desired.

Roll tightly:

Starting from one edge, roll the bread into a tight log (like a sushi roll).

Wrap each roll in plastic wrap to hold its shape.

Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
