Ingredients:
2 lbs (900g) sirloin steak – cut into bite-sized cubes
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
¼ cup beef broth
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3 garlic cloves – minced
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
¼ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp butter – cut into small pieces
Fresh parsley – chopped, for garnish (optional)
Directions:
1. Prepare the Steak:
Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This step helps the steak develop better texture and flavor during cooking.
2. Mix the Marinade:
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
3. Add to Crockpot:
Place the steak bites into the crockpot. Pour the marinade mixture evenly over the steak, ensuring all pieces are well coated.
4. Add Butter:
Dot the top of the steak bites with small pieces of butter. This adds extra richness and helps tenderize the meat.
5. Cook:
Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until the steak is tender and flavorful.
6. Serve:
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or enjoy as an appetizer.
