Fudge Brownies

Rich, dense, and ultra-chocolatey, these classic fudge brownies have a soft center and slightly crisp edges. They’re perfect for dessert, bake sales, or whenever a serious chocolate craving hits.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter

  • 8 oz (225 g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

  • 1½ cups granulated sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease lightly.

  2. Melt butter and chocolate together in a saucepan over low heat (or microwave in short bursts), stirring until smooth.

  3. Remove from heat and whisk in sugar until combined.

  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.

  5. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  6. Gently fold dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture just until combined.

  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.

  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until edges are set and center is slightly fudgy.

  9. Cool completely before slicing for best texture.
