A hearty, one-pan meal made with seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, and simple pantry spices. This comforting skillet dinner is quick to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef

  • 3–4 medium potatoes, diced small

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • ½ cup beef broth or water

  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add diced potatoes, season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften and turn golden.

  3. Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.

  4. Push potatoes to the side and add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.

  5. Stir in paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  6. Pour in beef broth, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes until potatoes are tender.

  7. Remove lid, stir, and cook another 2–3 minutes to reduce any excess liquid.

  8. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.
