Old-Fashioned Amish Peanut Butter Dream Pie
Ingredients
Crust

1 (9-inch) baked pie crust (homemade or store-bought, fully cooled)
Peanut Butter Crumble Layer

¾ cup creamy peanut butter

¾ cup powdered sugar
Cream Filling

1 (8 oz / 225 g) package cream cheese, softened

Instructions

Make the Peanut Butter Crumbles
In a bowl, mix the peanut butter and powdered sugar with a fork until crumbly and sandy.
Press half of this mixture evenly over the bottom of the baked pie crust. -
Prepare the Cream Filling
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add powdered sugar and vanilla, and mix until creamy. -
Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form. -
Combine
Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy. -
Assemble the Pie
Spoon the filling over the peanut butter layer in the crust and smooth the top.
Sprinkle the remaining peanut butter crumbles evenly over the filling. -
Chill
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best texture. -
Serve
Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if you like. Slice and enjoy!
