Prepare the filling:
If using meat, cook and shred your chicken, beef, or pork. You can also use leftover cooked meat.
Dice any vegetables like onions or peppers that you want to add for extra flavor.
Heat the pan:
Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can add a little butter or oil to the pan to prevent the tortillas from sticking.
Assemble the quesadilla:
Lay one tortilla flat in the pan. Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese evenly over the tortilla, followed by your choice of fillings (meat, veggies, etc.).
Place another tortilla on top, pressing down lightly.
Cook the quesadilla:
After a few minutes, once the bottom tortilla is golden and crispy, flip the quesadilla carefully using a spatula. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
Serve:
Remove the quesadilla from the pan and let it cool for a minute before slicing it into wedges. Serve with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole for dipping.
You can experiment with different fillings like black beans, spinach, mushrooms, or even pineapple for a sweet and savory twist.
Make mini quesadillas using smaller tortillas for a fun snack or appetizer.
Enjoy your delicious, easy-to-make quesadillas!
