Instructions:

  1. Prepare the filling:

    • If using meat, cook and shred your chicken, beef, or pork. You can also use leftover cooked meat.

    • Dice any vegetables like onions or peppers that you want to add for extra flavor.

  2. Heat the pan:

    • Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can add a little butter or oil to the pan to prevent the tortillas from sticking.

  3. Assemble the quesadilla:

    • Lay one tortilla flat in the pan. Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese evenly over the tortilla, followed by your choice of fillings (meat, veggies, etc.).

    • Place another tortilla on top, pressing down lightly.

  4. Cook the quesadilla:

    • After a few minutes, once the bottom tortilla is golden and crispy, flip the quesadilla carefully using a spatula. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.

  5. Serve:

    • Remove the quesadilla from the pan and let it cool for a minute before slicing it into wedges. Serve with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole for dipping.
