Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a separate small bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2: Roll and Fill the Dough
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about ⅛-inch thickness.
Cut into 3-inch squares.
Place a small teaspoon of filling in the center of each square.
Step 3: Shape the Bow Ties
Fold opposite corners of the dough toward the center, overlapping slightly, and press gently to seal.
Place cookies on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
Step 4: Bake and Finish
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
