Clean the teapot thoroughly to remove dust or residue.
Using a drill with a ceramic drill bit, carefully drill a small hole near the bottom of the teapot for the perch. The hole should be slightly larger than the dowel’s diameter.
Insert the wooden dowel into the hole and secure it with strong adhesive or epoxy. Allow it to dry completely.
Paint the teapot using outdoor acrylic paint in colors that complement your garden or chosen theme. Feel free to add patterns, florals, or whimsical scenes.
Once the paint has dried, apply a clear outdoor sealant to protect it from the elements.
Drill two small holes on opposite sides of the teapot lid. Thread twine or wire through the holes to create a hanger.
Hang the teapot birdhouse from a tree branch or hook, making sure it’s stable and secure.

For a rustic look, leave the teapot unpainted and let its natural patina shine. You can also embellish it with mosaic tiles or decoupage for added texture and character. If you prefer a modern style, choose sleek, monochromatic colors. To attract specific bird species, research the appropriate entrance size and adjust accordingly. Personalize your birdhouse with initials, a nameplate, or a tiny charm to make it truly one of a kind.
