★Ingredients

1 cup (150g) all-purpose flour

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

1/2 cup (120g) unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder

2 large eggs

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup (90g) chopped walnuts

1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup melted chocolate (for topping, optional)

★Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until well blended.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder. Mix well.
  4. Sift in flour and salt, and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  9. For the topping (optional): Drizzle melted chocolate over the brownies and let it set before cutting.
