Baked potatoes in an air fryer that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside
These are the baked potatoes I make when I want a potato like they serve at a steakhouse but don’t want to wait a long time or heat up the oven. The skins get crunchy and salty, while the inside gets fluffy and soft, just like a baked potato should.
Time to get ready: 5 minutes
Time to cook: 35–40 minutes
Serves: 3 to 4
Things you need
4 medium-sized russet potatoes
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tsp of coarse salt
½ teaspoon of black pepper
Optional: paprika or garlic powder
How to Make Them
Get the potatoes ready
Wash the potatoes well and then dry them off. Use a fork to poke each one a few times so that the steam can get out.
Add flavor to the skins
Put olive oil on each potato, then add salt, pepper, and any other spices you like. Make sure the skins are well covered; that’s where the taste is.
Set the air fryer to preheat.
Set it to 400°F (205°C) and let it warm up for three minutes.
Fry in the air
Put the potatoes in the basket, but leave some space between them.
Cook for 35 to 40 minutes, turning halfway through, or until a knife goes in easily.
Serve warm
Cut them open, use a fork to fluff up the inside, and fill them.
Ideas for Toppings
Sour cream and butter
Bacon and cheddar cheese
Chives and Greek yogurt
Chili and cheese that has been shredded
