📝 Ingredients

Chocolate Cake Batter

  • 150 g butter, softened

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 300 g sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 150 ml vegetable oil

  • 330 g all-purpose flour

  • 270 ml kefir

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Nut Layer (optional but recommended)

  • 100 g chopped walnuts or hazelnuts

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 300 g cream cheese, softened

  • 1 egg

  • 70 g sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Glaze

  • 120 g dark chocolate

  • 60 ml heavy cream or milk

  • 1 tbsp butter


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Cake Batter

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease or line a 22×30 cm baking pan.

In a bowl, beat butter, sugar, and salt until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
Mix in vegetable oil and vanilla.

In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
Add dry ingredients to the batter alternately with kefir. Mix gently until smooth.


2️⃣ Make the Cream Cheese Filling

Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy and smooth. Set aside.


3️⃣ Assemble the Dessert

Pour ⅔ of the chocolate batter into the prepared pan.
Sprinkle nuts evenly over the batter.
Gently spread the cream cheese filling on top.
Cover with remaining chocolate batter.
Swirl lightly with a knife for a marbled effect (optional).


4️⃣ Bake

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the edge comes out clean.
Cool completely before glazing.


5️⃣ Prepare the Chocolate Glaze

Heat cream until warm (not boiling).
Pour over chopped chocolate and butter.
Stir until smooth and glossy.

Pour glaze over cooled cake and spread evenly.


🍰 Serving & Storage

  • Chill for 30 minutes before slicing for clean layers

  • Serve with coffee or milk

  • Store refrigerated up to 4 days
