Shrimp and Sausage Cabbage
Savory, smoky, and comforting, this Shrimp and Sausage Cabbage dish is a quick one-pan meal packed with flavor. Tender shrimp, browned sausage, and soft cabbage come together perfectly for an easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients

½ lb (225 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined

12 oz smoked sausage, sliced (andouille or kielbasa)

1 small head green cabbage, chopped

1 small onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

1 teaspoon paprika
-
½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

½ cup chicken broth

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions

Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper; set aside.

Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add sausage and cook until browned; remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add onion and cook until softened. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

Add cabbage, paprika, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

Pour in chicken broth, cover, and cook for 8–10 minutes, until cabbage is tender.

Return sausage to the skillet and add shrimp.

Cook uncovered for 3–4 minutes, stirring gently, until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
