Pastry Cones

Light, flaky pastry cones made from puff pastry and baked until golden and crisp. These versatile cones can be filled with sweet creams or savory fillings, making them perfect for desserts, appetizers, or party treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • Sugar (for sweet cones) or grated cheese (for savory cones)

Optional Fillings

  • Whipped cream, pastry cream, or Nutella

  • Chicken salad, tuna salad, or cream cheese mixtures


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Lightly flour the puff pastry and cut into long strips about ¾–1 inch wide.

  3. Grease metal cone molds lightly.

  4. Wrap pastry strips around the molds, slightly overlapping as you go.

  5. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar or cheese.

  6. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes, until puffed and golden.

  7. Let cool slightly, then carefully remove pastry cones from molds.

  8. Fill as desired just before serving.
