If you’ve ever wished banana pudding and cheesecake could combine into one irresistible dessert, these Banana Cream Cheesecake Bars make that dream a reality. They’re rich, creamy, nostalgic, and beautifully simple — the kind of dessert that feels like a warm hug from Grandma but with a modern, elegant twist.

Every bite blends velvety cream cheese, sweet banana cream pudding, and a buttery Nilla wafer crust. Top them with whipped cream and fresh banana slices for an extra-special finish. These bars are easy to make and even easier to love.

Ingredients

For the Crust

  • 3 cups Nilla wafer cookie crumbs (about 11 oz)

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling

  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened (three 8 oz packages)

  • 2 packages instant banana cream pudding mix (3.4 oz each)

Optional Topping

  • Whipped cream

  • Fresh banana slices

Instructions

1. Make the Crust
Combine the Nilla wafer crumbs and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press it firmly into a parchment-lined 8×8-inch baking pan. Place the crust in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the filling.

2. Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream and sugar together until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

3. Mix the Filling
In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the banana cream pudding mix and blend until well incorporated. Gently fold in the whipped cream, keeping the mixture light and fluffy.

4. Assemble the Bars
Spread the filling evenly over the chilled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

5. Chill
Cover and refrigerate the bars for at least 8 hours or overnight. This helps them set properly for clean slicing.

6. Serve
Cut into 9 squares. Garnish with whipped cream and banana slices just before serving for a fresh and delicious finish.
