Cornetti Recipe: Soft, Fragrant Italian Croissants

Ingredients:
For the Dough:

3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (or Italian “00” flour if you can find it)

1/2 cup sugar

1 packet (7g) active dry yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)

1/4 cup warm water

2 large eggs

3 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1/2 cup melted butter (for the layers)

For the Filling (Optional):

Apricot jam, Nutella, or pastry cream (or any filling of your choice)

For the Egg Wash:

1 egg, beaten (for glazing)
