This is sooooo good!! Especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream ❗
Ingredients:
1 loaf Italian bread from Walmart fresh baked is amazing.
4 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
For the Pecan Pie Topping:
1 1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread the cubed bread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread, pressing gently to ensure all pieces are soaked. Let sit for 10 minutes.
In a medium bowl, combine the pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until well coated.
Spoon the pecan mixture evenly over the soaked bread.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or untill browned and bubbly.
