Creamy Scalloped Potatoes

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a baking dish lightly with butter.

2. Prepare the Cream Sauce

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add:

  • heavy cream
  • milk
  • salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme

Stir and heat until warm (do not boil).

3. Layer the Potatoes

Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes in the baking dish.
Pour some cream sauce over the top and sprinkle with cheese.

Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.

4. Bake

Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.

5. Rest & Serve

Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Garnish with parsley.
