In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and egg.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for 2–3 minutes, until it becomes soft and pliable.
Shape the dough into a round or your desired shape.
Heat a non-stick skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over low to medium heat. Lightly grease it with butter or oil.
Place the dough in the skillet and cover it with a lid. Cook on one side for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown.
Flip the bread and cook the other side for another 8–10 minutes, ensuring it is cooked through.
Insert a toothpick or knife into the center. If it comes out clean, the bread is ready.
Remove from the skillet and allow it to cool slightly before slicing.
Serve warm with butter, jam, or your favorite spread.
