Instructions

Begin by preheating your oven to 200°C (400°F) or setting your air fryer to 190°C (375°F). Place the chicken wings in a large bowl, sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, then toss them lightly with cornstarch to coat. Drizzle a little oil over them and toss again until each piece is lightly coated.

Arrange the wings in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking tray or in your air fryer basket. Bake or air fry for about 25 to 30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden, crispy, and cooked through.

While the wings cook, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, vinegar, and brown sugar. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to bubble. Stir in the cornstarch-water mixture and continue to cook until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon.

Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the warm honey garlic sauce over them. Toss gently until every wing glistens with the sticky, fragrant glaze.

Serve them hot, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped spring onions if you like—a perfect balance of sweet, garlicky, and savory flavor in every bite.
