Baking soda mask:
Make a paste with 1 tablespoon of baking soda and a few drops of water. Apply it to your nails, leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Gradual filing:
Once your nails have softened sufficiently, gently file them with a nail file or pumice stone. The goal is not to completely thin them all at once, but to gradually reduce their thickness without weakening them.
Then, apply a few drops of vegetable oil or moisturizer. Gently massage into nails and cuticles. A simple but effective gesture!
Why does this method work?
White vinegar has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties, which help fight the early signs of fungal infections.
Baking soda softens and gently exfoliates the skin, also helping to reduce the thickness of the keratin.
Regular but gentle filing helps maintain the shape and thickness of your nails without damaging them.
Our tips for beautiful toenails all year round.
Keep your feet as dry as possible. Trim your toenails straight and regularly, without cutting them too short (to avoid ingrown toenails).
Wear comfortable shoes that leave enough room for your toes.
Get physical activity: good circulation promotes healthy nails.
Be careful: if you notice sudden changes in appearance, pain, or significant thickening, consult a doctor.
Gentle home care, a little attention… and your feet will thank you!
