Butter Pecan Cake with Buttermilk Glaze

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Oven and Pan

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a Bundt pan thoroughly.

Step 2: Mix Butter and Sugar

In a mixing bowl, cream together browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3: Add Eggs

Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Step 4: Incorporate Dry Ingredients

Add baking powder, salt, and baking soda to the mixture and blend well.

Step 5: Add Flour

Gradually mix in the cake flour until just combined.

Step 6: Fold in Pecans and Sour Cream

Gently fold in pecan meal, chopped pecans, sour cream, and vanilla extract until evenly distributed.

Step 7: Bake

Transfer batter to the prepared Bundt pan.

Bake for about 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 8: Cool

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 9: Prepare the Glaze

In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla until smooth.

Fold in chopped pecans.

Step 10: Glaze the Cake

Once the cake is fully cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top, letting it drip down the sides.

If desired, sprinkle extra chopped pecans for garnish.
