🧾 Ingredients (Makes 8–10 tartlets):

For the Tart Shells:

  • 1 package mini tartlet shells (store-bought or homemade)
    or

  • 1 sheet shortcrust pastry or pie dough

For the Cream Filling (2 options):

Option 1: Vanilla Custard Filling

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

Option 2: Cream Cheese Filling

  • 4 oz (113g) cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 2–3 tbsp heavy cream or milk (to loosen)

Toppings:

  • Fresh fruit: strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mango, grapes, raspberries, etc.

  • Optional glaze: apricot jam thinned with a little warm water or honey for shine
