Ingredients:

2 tbsp sugar (optional, for sweet version)

½ cup (120ml) milk

2 tbsp plain yogurt or sour cream (adds tenderness)

1 egg, separated

1 tsp vanilla extract (for sweet fritters)

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Optional Add-ins:

½ cup finely chopped apples, bananas, or berries for fruit fritters

Dash of cinnamon or nutmeg (for warm flavor)
