Ingredients:

For the puff pastry layers:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

For the ricotta filling:

  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese (well-drained)

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (or to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Zest of 1 lemon (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream (optional, for creaminess)

For the glaze:

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tablespoon water

  • A few drops of vanilla extract (optional)
