Limescale can be a real nuisance around the home, especially on taps, where it builds up quickly and becomes difficult to remove. Fortunately, a cleaning expert has shared a simple and natural method to eliminate it in just 15 minutes.
Hard water often leaves behind tough limescale deposits on taps. These not only look unpleasant but also trap bacteria, making surfaces less hygienic. Joseph Clark, a cleaning expert from Kinetico, explained that removing limescale doesn’t have to be time-consuming—if you use the right cleaning agents.
He said:
“One way of removing limescale around your chrome tap is by using a home remedy—lemon juice. The acid in lemon juice is antibacterial and antiseptic, making it a perfect go-to before turning to professional products.”
Tapron specialists support this advice, noting that lemon juice is highly effective against calcium carbonate build-up. The citric acid in lemon juice softens limescale, allowing it to be removed without the need for heavy scrubbing.
