Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 300ml (1¼ cups) warm milk

  • 18g fresh brewer’s yeast (or 6g dry yeast)

  • 100g (½ cup) sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 100ml (½ cup) sunflower oil

  • 800g (5⅓ cups) all-purpose flour

  • 6g (1 tsp) salt

For the Cream Filling:

  • 500ml (2 cups) milk

  • 1 egg

  • 100g (½ cup) sugar

  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)

  • 30g (¼ cup) cornstarch

  • 30g (¼ cup) flour

  • 30g (2 tbsp) butter

For Finishing:

  • 1 egg yolk (for brushing)

  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
