4 medium potatoes (peeled and cubed)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or more if needed)
1 large egg (beaten)
1/4 cup grated cheese (cheddar, Parmesan, or your favorite variety)
1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for coating)
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil works best)
