Ingredients:
1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup (about 90g) chocolate chips or a bar of chocolate (dark, milk, or white—your choice!)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure an easy cleanup.
2. Prepare the Puff Pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. If using store-bought puff pastry, it may come pre-rolled—just unroll it carefully onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
3. Add the Chocolate:
If you’re using a chocolate bar, chop it into small pieces. Spread the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate evenly over the puff pastry, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
4. Fold the Puff Pastry:
Gently fold the edges of the puff pastry over the chocolate, creating a rustic “bread” shape or simply folding it into a more rectangular shape, depending on your preference. You can also leave it open for a more “tart-like” effect if you prefer.
5. Bake:
Place the puff pastry with the chocolate on the prepared baking sheet into the oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and crisp.
