Air fryer egg rolls are crispy, flavorful, and a healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried versions. Packed with savory veggies and protein, they’re perfect as an appetizer, snack, or light meal, ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup cooked ground pork, chicken, shrimp, or tofu (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce for extra flavor

How To Make Air Fryer Egg Rolls

  1. Cook the Filling: In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute. Add cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, and protein (if using). Cook for 3-4 minutes until veggies soften. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin (if using), and black pepper. Let cool slightly.
  2. Assemble Egg Rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper flat (diamond shape). Place 2-3 tablespoons of filling near the bottom corner. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly, sealing the top corner with a dab of water. Repeat for all wrappers.
  3. Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C). Lightly spray egg rolls with cooking spray. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  4. Serve: Serve hot with sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or your favorite dip.

You Must Know

  • Seal Properly: Use water to seal the wrappers to prevent unraveling during cooking.
