Ingredients
- For the Filling:
- 1 lb 450 g ground beef (80/20 lean recommended)
- 1 small yellow onion finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 large flour tortillas burrito size
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese optional, for extra melt
- ½ cup chopped dill pickles
- 1 cup shredded lettuce iceberg or romaine
- 1 medium tomato diced
- For the Burger Sauce:
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
Instructions
-
Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook for 6-8 minutes, breaking the meat apart with a spatula until fully browned and no pink remains. Drain any excess grease.
-
Season: Sprinkle the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the cooked beef. Stir well to combine, cook for 1 more minute, and remove the skillet from the heat.
-
Make the Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard until perfectly smooth.
-
Prepare the Tortillas: Briefly warm the tortillas in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to make them pliable.
-
Assemble the Wraps: Lay a tortilla flat. Spread a spoonful of the burger sauce in the center. Top with a quarter of the seasoned beef, followed by shredded cheddar, mozzarella, chopped pickles, diced tomato, and shredded lettuce.
-
Fold: Fold the left and right sides of the tortilla in over the filling. Then fold the bottom up and roll tightly into a burrito shape. Repeat for all 4 wraps.
-
Toast: Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down into the hot skillet. Toast for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and sealed. Carefully flip and toast the other side for another 1-2 minutes until crispy.
-
Serve: Cut in half and serve immediately with extra sauce on the side if desired. Enjoy!
