These Joe’s Crab Shack–style Crab Cakes are inspired by the popular restaurant favorite. They are packed with tender crab meat, lightly seasoned, and pan-fried until golden brown on the outside while staying moist and flavorful on the inside. Perfect as an appetizer or main dish for seafood lovers.
Ingredients
For the Crab Cakes:
- 1 lb (450 g) lump crab meat, picked over for shells
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ¾ cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For Cooking:
- 2–3 tablespoons vegetable oil or butter
